Means test calculator for Georgia bankruptcy cases
The means test in Counted Bankruptcy uses the U.S. Trustee Program data for the filing date and shows the source of every number. It is part of the firm workspace, for attorneys and their staff.
Which table applies
The U.S. Trustee Program publishes new data periodically; the right table depends on the filing date (UST means testing).
- Cases filed on or after July 15, 2026: the 20260715 data.
- Cases filed April 1 – July 14, 2026: the 20260401 data. The county housing table for this period was not captured, so the software reports it as missing.
- Earlier filing dates are not loaded.

Presumption thresholds
Form 122A-2 line 40 uses the amounts adjusted on April 1, 2025: $10,275 and $17,150 (Federal Register 2025-02207).
Compare filing dates
The what-if tool runs the means test and the Georgia exemptions for two filing dates side by side, so the attorney can see how a date change affects the result.
Questions
Is this a public calculator for people considering bankruptcy?
No. It is part of the software for law firms. People considering bankruptcy should talk to a bankruptcy attorney.
Where do the expense numbers come from?
From the national and local standards in the same U.S. Trustee data (food and clothing, health care, transportation and the Georgia county housing tables). Each line shows its source in the app.
